Follow the links below to learn more about ENERGY STAR, how qualified products can help Weatherization, and the benefits of bulk purchasing.

Cost-Effective ENERGY STAR Qualified Products for Low-Income Homes

This section provides a guide for Weatherization agencies to those ENERGY STAR qualified appliances, lighting, and heating and cooling systems that may be cost effective in a low-income home.

Bulk Purchasing:

Quantity Quotes

Formerly known as the ENERGY STAR Online Bulk Purchasing Tool, ENERGY STAR Quantity Quotes was developed by the U.S. Department of Energy in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to make it easy for corporate, government, and other institutional purchasers to get competitive quotes on large quantities of ENERGY STAR qualified products such as refrigerators, light fixtures and room air conditioners. More than 1,000 purchasers and 120 suppliers have already registered to use Quantity Quotes.

Click the above link to visit their official website. You may also wish to review the Quantity Quotes Fact Sheet.

ENERGY STAR Qualified Refrigerators

This section provides information to help states incorporate refrigerator replacement into their programs to get the most energy savings for their clients. The ENERGY STAR partners on this site have refrigerator bulk purchasing arrangements that may be suitable for the Weatherization Assistance Program.

Note: As we gather bulk purchasing information about other products, we will add this information to the site. To share a success story about bulk purchasing refrigerators or other products, please email info@waptac.org. We would like to assist States with quickly implementing a bulk purchasing program and your input will help us connect others with effective bulk purchasing arrangements.
