Weatherization Close-Ups
The Weatherization Close-Up Compendium was developed in 2001 as one element in the celebration of the Weatherization Assistance Program's 25th Anniversary. Each state and the District of Columbia is highlighted in a one-page Close-Up document.
The Close-Ups are designed to provide background information on the Weatherization Program and to highlight the innovative ideas and unique application of the Program in each state.
DOE updated the Close-Up Compendium in 2004 with Program Year 2003 information. The revised Close-Up files are now available.
Close Up Files
The following files are Portable Document Format (pdf) files, which are not alterable. You can view and print the file but you cannot make changes.
To download a file, right click on the link and choose "Save As" or "Save Target As." Then save the file to your computer (remember where you put it!) and open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
From Acrobat Reader, you can print the file and make copies for distribution. If the text runs together when you print, click the "Print as Image" option from your print menu.
If you like the version that DOE created, but want to revise or update the information for future purposes, you can use the
Close-Up Template. This Microsoft Word file has the design layout for a Close-Up document and can be used to create customized Close-Ups at the state/local level. Type in your text and as graphics, as desired.
The original graphics files are available to states upon request. You can use this file to modify the state Close-Up that DOE developed. These files are formatted in InDesign (graphic design software) and can only be altered in InDesign. If you do not have the resources to alter your Close-Up in InDesign, you can use the Microsoft Word template (see previous bullet). If you would like the original graphics files in InDesign for your state's Close-Up, please
e-mail us.
