Weatherization Day 2002 Activities

The Governor signed a proclamation declaring October 30th as Utah Weatherization Day. Three "live" TV spots aired from a home receiving Weatherization to promote the Program. The state office and several local agencies distributed press releases to their local newspapers. The Salt Lake Tribune and several other local newspapers carried the news release this past week. The largest local TV station, KSL, aired four 1-2 minute news stories about the Program.

Weatherization Day 2000 Activities

The Salt Lake Community Action Agency was able to get the Governor to sign a proclamation declaring October 30th "Weatherization Day". They also had a media event where the recently weatherized home of a very elderly gentleman was open for tours. The three major television stations covered this event. Also, the State of Utah issued a press release on Weatherization. Some local agencies also released information to their local media outlets.
