Weatherization Day 2007 Activities
For Weatherization Day 2007 the Oklahoma Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) hosted a site demonstration in Tulsa. During this time, many weatherization techniques were demonstrated.
An article showcasing this event was published with photos in the state newsletter Developer. In addition, a press release was issued and Governor Brad Henry signed a Weatherization Day Proclamation. The press release may be viewed by accessing

WAP officials are currently working with the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board to conduct an Extreme Energy Home Makeover in Oklahoma City within the next month.
Weatherization Day 2006 Activities
On Monday, October 30, Governor Brad Henry proclaimed it to be Weatherization Day 2006, encouraging awareness of the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and celebrations statewide.
The Oklahoma Department of Commerce and Big Five Community Services Inc, used the day to host a formal, 20-minute weatherization demonstration to educate the community on the benefits of the Program. Several stations were set up around the demo home to showcase the various equipment and tests used during weatherization.
Weatherization Day 2001 Activities
Officials from Governor Frank Keating's office and the Corporation Commission attended a site demonstration where the local agency showcased Weatherization technologies. Local media covered the event and published articles about its success.
Weatherization Day 2000 Activities:
A press release was created and distributed by Ed Alexander, Weatherization Director, Great Plains Improvement Foundation, Lawton, OK. Mr. Alexander used the template provided in the Weatherization Day Celebration Package to craft a release inserting pertinent data where appropriate. The release was sent to five newspapers, two radio stations, and one television station.
