Weatherization Day 2005 Activities

This year, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty joined forces with the state's weatherization agencies to promote several new energy security measures. These included an extension of the cold weather rule which stipulates energy companies cannot turn off a customer's heat during the winter. The new rules relax the financial criteria to make this aid accessible to more citizens in need.

In addition to these measures, state agencies have produced "Weatherization Kits" which they are working with the Governor to make available to all utility customers.

Weatherization Day 2002 Activities

One of the local agencies, JobSource Weatherization, conducted a site demonstration on October 16th. The CAP Board was in attendance along with weatherization staff and a reporter and photographer from the local newspaper. The newspaper print the story on October 30th.
