Other Energy Audits

While the Weatherization Assistant software, containing the National Energy Audit Tool (NEAT) and the Manufactured Home Energy Audit (MHEA), was developed by DOE for use by the WAP network, Grantees may elect to use alternative energy audits.

WPN 01-4 describes guidance on how a Grantee is to implement energy audit procedures, whether developing an audit for their own use or using a previously approved audit tool.

DOE has previously reviewed and accepted the following software for use in singlefamily dwellings within the Weatherization Assistance Program: AKWarm, EASY 2.1, EA-4, HomeCheck, NEAT, SMOC-ERS, TIPS, TREAT, WeatherWorks, and WXEOR.

For Mobile Homes, DOE has previously reviewed and accepted the following software for use in the Weatherization Assistance Program: AKWarm, EASY 2.1, EA-4, HomeCheck, Meadow 96, MHEA, REM/Rate, TIPS, TREAT, WeatherWorks, and WXEOR.
